Crisis Management seminar in Lithuania
Kaunas, Lithuania. October 20-21. Pastors from all Adventist churches in Lithuania came together to participate in Crisis Management Training seminar organised by the Baltic Union Conference and Trans-European Division Communication directors Guntis Bukalders and Miroslav Pujic. Local church leaders were trained into crisis management basics and how to react when crisis comes.
Bertold Hibner, Lithuanian Misison Field president said: “It was a very useful seminar. We understand the need to have a clear guidance how to act when a crisis may hit our church. It also broadened our view of how skilful communication can better represent our church in sociaty”.
“The best time to plan for a crisis is when there isn’t one” said Pujic, “preparation is the key to effective management. Church leaders in Lithuania learned how to establish crisis team, appoint a spokesperson and prepare a press release. That will help them to be better prepared and equipped should any disaster happen to the church.”
Baltic Union Conference is providing educational seminars for church workers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Similar seminars were done last year in Estonia and Latvia.
